He has been using the pill for a year, maybe two. It works. That is not the problem. The problem is everything around it - keeping one in his wallet, the headache that sometimes follows, the fact that he has to think about it in advance, and that he does not like needing it.
He is 35, or 41, or 48. He is not interested in managing a dependency for the next three decades. He wants off it. He just does not know what off it looks like.
